About Me

About

Who I am. I am an instructional and technology coach with a background in K-12 education. My Masters Degree in reading and literacy opened my eyes to many educational learning theories. My background in special education gave me time to explore these different learning theories and showed me how to breakdown problems into simple actionable processes. Working as an instructional and technology coach allowed me to take those skills and apply them to create e-learning experiences and materials.

My process & approach to solving problems. I always put the learner at the core of my process. I think that a clear and open line of communication between myself and the client is key in order to make sure the needs of the learner are being met. With the learner in mind I work collaboratively with the client to identify areas that are in need of support. Then map out what actions need to happen in order to support the learner. Once, we’ve identified the solution, I use an iterative design approach to hone in the final product to make sure the needs of the learner are being met.

How I work with people. Collaboration is one of my favorite parts of my design process. With my background in education I thrive in environments where people can collaborate and grow together. I enjoy building relationships with learners, SMEs, and clients to build positive and enjoyable learning experiences that we all can learn from.

What we can accomplish. I am passionate about helping people find a love for education. I enjoy making positive learning experiences that motivate learners to grow. If you or your organization would like to use modern learning experiences to help people reach their full potential, I am positive that we can create a solution together.

My mentality. I am always pushing myself in everything that I do. It could be hiking it another mile into the backcountry or spending another night in the wilderness, I am always pushing my boundaries. My interests require physical and mental strength, endurance, perseverance, and patience to make sure I make it home safely. My interests have brought me across the country three separate times and made me closer with nature and with people. I enjoy fully immersing myself in experiences, whether it’s hiking into the backcountry, canoeing into the wilderness, snowboarding into the forest, the list goes on. My journeys have taught me that what I enjoy most is making meaningful connections and memories with nature and the people closest to me.

Here is a look into a few of those experiences.
